Information about The Swan
The Swan is a traditional village pub offering great food, friendly service, real ale and cosy roaring fires. We started in the hospitality trade 300 years ago as Hog Sty Farm a smallholding with a coach house attached for travellers making their way between London and Nottingham. We are a popular pub within the Village and draw local guests from Aspley Guise, Woburn itself and of course Milton Keynes.
The Local History of Woburn Sands
Woburn Sands is a village founded, quite literally, on sand. Fullers Earth to be exact. Fullers Earth, the fine, yellow sand that used to be used to clean wool before it was spun, has been dug here since 1539. Now the village is an attraction in its own right, with a fine High Street of shops and an active local community.
Open every day
Monday to Saturday 11am to 11pm.
Sundays 11am to 10.30pm.
Food served all day
Monday to Saturday 12 noon to 10pm.
Sundays 12 noon to 9.30pm.
There's no need to book
All are welcome, just come along and we will look after you and ensure an enjoyable visit.
